Butch Harmon School of Golf – Las Vegas
Small class sizes, comprehensive program offerings, all designed by one of golf’s most respected instructors, Butch Harmon. Butch has taught some of the games finest players, including Tiger Woods and Natalie Gulbis. Unlike many of the other "top name" instructors, you still have the opportunity to learn with Butch Harmon himself, however you'll have to reserve quickly: most of the programs featuring Butch are already sold out. All staff instructors have been personally trained by Butch. I really like the training facility at the Rio Secco Golf Course in Las Vegas.

Grand Cypress Academy of Golf
In the heart of Florida at the luxurious Grand Cypress Resort, top 50 instructor Fred Griffin and his staff use the latest in technology to help you improve. The Academy’s state of the art facility includes regulation size practice holes, a 22 acre practice tee, covered hitting areas and Model Golf Computerized instruction studio. The depth of the teaching staff is tremendous with every staff instructor on Golf Digest's top teachers in Florida list.

Golf University
Golf University makes its debut on our list this year, but they are no newcomer to awards and accolades having been named a Golf Magazine top 25 school as well as Zagats Best in Golf award. The focus is on small groups (never exceeding 2 to 1) along with an emphasis on the latest video and computer learning tools.

David Leadbetter Golf Academy
Maybe the first high profile coach of top tour players, David Leadbetter offers his method based instruction programs at locations around the world. His Leadbetter-certified instructors all teach his consistent and proven method. We like the consistency of his program despite the lack of being able to readily work with David himself.

Jim McLean Golf Schools
Jim McLean has an excellent teaching staff and great facilities. I’ve really enjoyed the lessons I took from a few of their pros while I was in Palm Springs. Jim has several golf schools and they are all at 1st class facilities.
BTW, their website is really bad and needs work, but don’t let that be a distracter because the instruction and facilities are great.

Dave Pelz Scoring Game Schools
Short game guru to the tour elite, Dave Pelz has also perfected a way to teach everyone the science of the short game. As with other top name professionals, you aren't likely to have Pelz himself as an instructor, however his method is taught reliably by his personally trained instructors. Not a school for beginners, since its focus is only the short game, but a great opportunity for mid-level and low handicap golfers to move to the next level.
Toski-Battersby Golf Learning Center – Florida
Bob Toski was a winner on the PGA Tour and began the first golf school for Golf Digest in 1971. Gary Battersby became a partner with Bob Toski and they began teaching with a very unique approach of “Fundamental Self-Coaching.” They keep a small 2 to 1 teaching ratio and you get very personalized attention.

Tom Wishmeyer – San Diego
Tom is one of the nicest guys you could ever know. I spent a little bit of time with him while I was in San Diego and I just really enjoy the way he teaches and interacts with people. Tom will likely become a great friend as well as your golf pro forever.
